1. Acceptance of Terms
By renting a van from Hideout LLC ("Company," "we," "our," "us"), you ("Renter") agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Rental Eligibility

• Renter must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license.

• Proof of insurance and a major credit card in the renter’s name are required.

• International renters must provide a passport and international driving permit (if applicable).

3. Rental Period & Late Returns

• Rentals are charged on a per-day basis. Late returns may incur additional fees.

• Extensions must be approved in advance.

• Failure to return the van on time without notice may result in additional charges and legal action.

4. Rental Use Restrictions

• Vans may only be driven within California unless otherwise authorized in writing.

• Off-road use, towing, or unauthorized modifications are prohibited.

• The vehicle may not be used for illegal activities or to transport hazardous materials.

5. Fees & Deposits

• A refundable security deposit is required at the time of rental.

• Additional fees may apply for cleaning, fuel, or damage.

• Payment is due in full before the rental period begins.

6. Insurance & Liability

• Renter must have personal auto insurance covering rental vehicles.

• Optional insurance coverage may be available for purchase.

• The Renter is responsible for any damage, theft, or loss not covered by insurance.

• Hideout LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.

7. Breakdown & Emergency Assistance

• In case of a mechanical issue, Renter must contact us immediately for assistance.

• Unauthorized repairs are not reimbursable.

• Towing due to renter negligence (ex: out of fuel, locked keys) is at Renter's expense.

8. Accidents & Violations

• Renter must report any accidents to us and local authorities immediately.

• Traffic or parking violations incurred during the rental period are the Renter’s responsibility.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change, so we’ve designed a balanced cancellation policy with a sliding scale:

​

• 30+ days in advance: Full refund

• 14-29 days in advance: 50% refund

• 7-13 days in advance: 25% refund

• 6 days or less: No refund

​

This policy ensures fairness for both our travelers and our business while keeping our vans available for those ready to explore.

1. Pet Policy

• Hideout vans are pet-friendly with no additional pet fees.

• Renters are responsible for keeping the van clean and free from excessive pet hair, dirt, or damage.

• A cleaning fee will apply if excessive pet-related dirt, stains, or damage is found upon return.

10. Indemnification
Renter agrees to indemnify and hold Hideout LLC harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or costs resulting from the use of the rental van.

11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [County, California].
